What Is Healthy Sexuality?

-->
Healthy sexuality is often defined as the ability to take delight in and feel empowered by one's sexual feelings and interactions. Many experts in healthy sexuality believe sexual activity isn't limited to the activities that can occur before, during, or after sexual intercourse. Instead, they believe that sexual activity can encompass all activities that help to build an intimate relationship, where trust, respect and affection are shared. Healthy sex allows both partners to feel that they are freely consenting to any sexual interaction that may take place, and that each partner enjoys an equal measure of personal empowerment in the situation. Both partners should ideally enjoy mutual trust and respect, and both partners should feel safe emotionally and physically during the sexual interaction.
Many experts believe expressing healthy sexuality requires a deep level of trust, commitment, and communication between sexual partners. They often stress the building of a mutually respectful and comfortable relationship before sexual contact can be considered healthy. Even after boundaries of physical intimacy have been passed in a relationship, most experts recommend ongoing, honest communication to help both partners maintain a sense of safety and comfort with sexual contact.
Some kinds of sexual expression are considered unhealthy. Any sexual contact in which one partner fears dangerous or unpleasant consequences could be considered unhealthy. These consequences could be physical, such as unplanned pregnancy or sexually transmitted disease, or they could be emotional, such as the fear of betrayal. Persons who are forced into sexual activity often suffer severe emotional damage in the aftermath. The expression of healthy sexuality generally requires that both sexual partners feel safe.
Other unhealthy ideas about sex could include ideas that sex is shameful, wrong, or dirty. Experts typically believe that healthy sexuality depends largely on the belief that sexual feelings and needs are normal, natural, healthy, and even empowering. Healthy sexuality is generally considered a means of expressing love and affection. Experts believe that healthy sexual expression can help support self-esteem, individual boundaries, and ethical values.
Abusive sexual behavior is another type of unhealthy sexuality. It is often classified as sexual behavior intended to control or harm another. Healthy sexuality, by contrast, typically allows both partners to give or withdraw consent to any sexual activities, before or after sexual interaction has begun.

How To Deal With Erection Failure. Part One

If problems with erection do occur so frequently that they affect your sexual life, and tips we recommend in our blog do not work, try to make some exercises. Their aim is to remove your anxiety and help you to understand that even gentle stimulation may get it  back. In this we talk about first exercise. Second exercise you will find in next post.

Those exercises would help you to relieve from anxiety about your sexual results because you are not required to have sexual intercourse until you feel yourself more confident. First stage of exercises may be performed without partner. On next stages you will need partner, the one who really likes you, who patiently will help you to perform all treatment steps and get pleasure.

Try to make these exercises when you are disposed to sex.
1) Start stimulating penis with your hand using any fantasy which excites you. Do it while you achieve full penis erection. Stop stimulation and let erection totally go away. Turn your attention on something abstract and erection would go away more quickly.

2) When penis will become soft, start again to masturbate till full erection and then again intentionally weaken it. Then stimulate penis third time and, if you want, do it until ejaculation occurs. If you have difficulties in achieving erection after its intentional  weakening (or at the beginning of exercise), use lubricant.

Repeat this exercise until you get confident that alone you may achieve erection, intentionally weaken it and then again achieve it. Self-confidence will appear after 3 – 4 times of successful exercise performance.

Is Sexual Abstinence Harmful?

In life of any man and woman occur periods of abstinence from sex. Is sexual abstinence harmful? Do people live these periods identically? How much time one may abstain from sex without risks for his health and safe for the people around? Let us see.

Is it true that abstinence from sex may have negative effects on human behavior?
People who lack culture of human communication understanding do really believe that hot temper and aggressiveness of their colleagues, acquaintances or  friends is caused by their possible sexual unsatisfaction. Possibly, it is true. However, there is no point to claim it exactly. Irritancy,  hot temper and aggressiveness are signs of personal human qualities showing, which often has nothing to do with sexual abstinence.

Some males who abstain from sex start consuming alcohol in excessive amounts. After some time it becomes a real replacement for true communication and sex. Unfortunately, not all males come back to normal life as not all males may get rid of such bad habit as alcohol.

What factors lead to sexual abstinence?
There are physiological, psychological and social factors which may cause temporal or permanent sexual abstinence. It may be unhappy sexual experience, lack of self-confidence, no job, inherent or acquired personal qualities, physical traumas, no worthy partner, death of beloved person, various illnesses (not necessarily in genital sphere, but also cardiovascular diseases). Also sexual abstinence is caused by forced isolation (hospital, prison).

On what depends reaction on sexual abstinence? Why some people become dangerous for society, while others do not show any reaction?
There are different factors influencing human behavior. For example, temperament.  Melancholics may have problems with adaptation to this situation. People with this temperament may have neuroses, depression, and may even start taking drugs or alcohol. Sanguine persons would try to find way out and finally soultion would be found – this solution would be a new partner or just switching his attention over other life problems. Choleric persons are disposed to go to extremes. Under conditions of sexual abstinence those persons may become addicted to alcohol. Or may become autors of a masterpiece. Phlegmatic person may not observe that he did not had sex for a long time, therefore there will be no visible changes in his behavior.
